Some of my favorite cities, villages and places to visit will be found under this category.

The central part of Alsace and the Upper Rhine, around Colmar and Riquewihr, are full of villages and small towns infinitely picturesque, steeped in history and nestled in the heart of the vineyard. Ribeauvillé, Bergheim, Kaysersberg but also Eguisheim and Hunawihr are all day trips not to be missed.

All these villages are high places of Alsatian viticulture. Wine lovers will meet winegrowers who will make them taste exceptional wines.

Along the vineyard, on the plain side, beautiful bike paths allow you to cycle quietly, safely and without cars, while enjoying an exceptional landscape.

Above the vineyard, the imposing castle of Haut-Kœnigsbourg dominates the plain of Alsace from the top of the mountain. It can be seen from afar, even from the other side of the Rhine. At its foot, in the ruins of the castle of Kintzheim, Volerie des Aigles offers an exceptional show of raptors. A little higher, Monkey Mountain is another attraction that will amaze young and old.
