The magic of Christmas comes again to seize Colmar for 5 weeks! All year long, the historic city of Colmar is a jewel that I like to visit regularly, just minutes from “my” Riquewihr. But when comes the end of the year and the time of the Christmas markets, I do not resist the cocktail of romance, history and small lights. No, I’m not ashamed to fall back to childhood.
And there was light !
Appointment was given in the public garden next to the Unterlinden museum. The little Alsatian girls arrived first. How cute in their traditional costume! A little intimidated but delighted. The elected representatives and other VIPs arrived for 3 brief introductory sentences before pulling the cord. And presto, the light was! Now five weeks of Christmas magic await us.
