Golden landscapes along the Alsace Wine Route – a small picture gallery

As snow is now announced here are some pictures taken in Autumn: late September, October and November.
Autumn in the upper Rhine valley is actually 3 seasons in one. End of September is still very similar to Summer. Then comes the golden leaves period in October. And right now, almost end of November, some leaves are still on the trees as snow is starting to fall.

Here are some pictures I have taken in Autumn while strolling through Alsace, nearby Germany and the Vosges mountains.

Alsace is an incredible region to visit, whatever the season!

This page is brought to you by Les Remparts de Riquewihr – new luxury holiday apartments created in an old historical winery facing the vineyards in Riquewihr, Alsace.
Riquewihr as well as La Vancelle are also a very practical base to visit all Alsace, the Vosges mountains and even nearby Germany and Switzerland.

Thank you for the beautiful photos and for our wonderful stay in Riquewihr. We loved the apartment and walking endlessly in the surrounding hills and vineyards and the town was a wonderful base for exploring the area.
Best wishes for a very happy Christmas.
    Bonne fetes!

  3. The picture of the sea of clouds in the mountains with Martine and our friends were taken 2 years ago. One of the last pictures with our beloved Mac Gregor, our first West Highland White Terrier, who is now watching us from up there. Somewhere in the good dogs paradise.

I love the photos, expecially the one of Martine and Happy!
